Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, the designer behind her namesake line Shoshanna, debuted its first collection in November of 1998. It had begun with a line of resort dresses, bags, and summer-chic sandals, the original intention of creating clothes specifically for the spring and summer seasons. Yet within a few years the label expanded to designing collections for every season, all of which, no matter what time of the year, channeled a fresh and whimsical vibe the label is well known for.
It can be said that Shoshanna’s dresses and vibrant prints are a bit reminiscent of Diane Von Furstenberg’s dresses and colorful prints. Yet Shoshanna is able to bring not just the element of fresh patterns and bright colors to the consumer. She brings about a youthful outlook to the sophisticated cuts, whether it be with slight details and cuts. All of which are done sophiscatedly and sexily.
