When I think of the style icons this outfit takes me back to, I think of Barbara Eden (the later "I Dream" seasons,) Barbara Streisand, and my mother's years- ago close friend, Laurel Cavanaugh (forgive sp?) .. oh, and my mom's favorite red belt with the clasping hands that I can still see so clearly to this day. Other thoughts come up too, when I least expect them. Today's outfit plucked a special heartstring for me. It brings me back to a younger time - my earliest years, but it could have been what I imagined someone else's formative adult years to be. I simply flew over memories and thoughts and watched them from above.
For you it might be a trigger for that stylishly fabulous era from old Sunday afternoon movies on the cable free channels, or perhaps that indifferent high school girl that was so cool and seemed so rude (which kind of helped with the cool-factor) to you 6th graders. If it ain't today's homage of style, it'll hit you some time .. you'll see. Either way, it's beautiful ... and introducing of thoughts
