Sensual '70s Style
Personal Style | Aug 19, 2010
The '70's was indeed an era of fastening oneself to your own look. We travelled from the eye-opening, psychedelic "Peace, Love, Dope" era of the '60's to the age of "The Woman." For us, it was about really finding ourselves and feeling comfortable in our own shoes, whatever they may be. Woman became empowered, at home and in the workplace. Fashion followed music trends that ranged from Soft Rock groups like The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and The Doobie Brothers to edgier Rock like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and to the farther edges of Disco with Blondie, Donna Summer, and KC and The Sunshine Band. Personal style range became the norm, and suddenly everyone wasn't wearing the same things. There was variance and strife for ones own style-personality.
Today, we'd like to focus on the more Sensual side of the "70's - beautiful, soft lines; simple, flowing fabrics that enhance the figure of the woman who is proud to be what she is and who she is. A woman who knows she is beautiful. Now that's a style well worth paying homage to!
