Started in 1973, Elie Tahari was named after it's founder. Mr. Tahari, a poor, child orphan, immigrated to the US in the early 1970's with no money in his pockets but with a drive to succeed. He began working in a Greenwich Village, women's clothing store and the rest is history. Together, he and his wife, Rory have built a clothing empire that is known in over 40 countries, with presence in over 600 US stores. A collection that features suggested clean, straight lines, Elie Tahari subscribes to the belief that "Smart women can look sexy." The look's combination of modern sophistication and timeless style can be beautifully seen in their extensive line of women's and men's clothing and accessories.
