Of the four seasons, Fall is this writer's favorite, not because of the gorgeous colors of the changing season, or the crisp, anticipatory winds that will send leaves whirling and laughing round my feet like mischievous children, not even for the fantastic holiday parties that are filled with good times and great friends. No. Although those are all on my list of the best of the best, the thing that makes fall A-#1 to me is the magnificently rich fabrics, knits and styles that are so pleasurably necessary once the cold starts to set in. To bundle and snuggle yourself in the kind of beautiful yumminess that feels like your being hugged all day, and that makes everyone else want to reach out and touch you, that's what I'm talking about. Really quality produced Velvets and Velours - the kind that when you touch them, you can't help but make an "Mmmmmm" sound - are exactly the stuff my Autumn dreams are made of. Today's selections are just that -- so luxurious, so flattering, touchable and "Mmmm-able" .... nope, the cold can't get here fast enough for me!
